Two Sisters Found Murdered Near Farm in Brewaniase

Brewaniase: Two sisters, Akalu Emefa, 15, and Emmanuela Dziwonu, 8, were found murdered in a bush near their farm in Brewaniase in the Nkwanta South Municipality of the Oti Region. The incident occurred on Sunday, April 20, after their mother, Madam Akpalu Mawusi, sent them to the farm.

According to Ghana News Agency, the Police in Nkwanta recovered the bodies and deposited them at the Municipal Morgue. An investigation into the murders has been launched. Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Mr. Lawrence Wiafi, the Crime Officer, assured that efforts would be made to bring the perpetrators to justice.

The tragedy has sparked grief and outrage in the community, with residents demanding increased security measures to protect vulnerable children. The chiefs and elders of the community have pledged their support for the investigation and are calling for swift action to prevent similar incidents in the future.

The Police will conduct further examinations on the bodies as part of the ongoing investigation. Meanwhile, the community is rallying behind the family, demanding justice for the two young girls.
