Tema Regional Police Neutralize Three Armed Robbers in Kpone Shoot-Out

Accra: Three suspected armed robbers were gunned down by the Tema Regional Police Command after engaging in a gun battle at Kpone. The incident occurred on Monday, July 21, 2025, when the suspects, part of a group of about 10 armed men, attacked a warehouse at the Tema Industrial Area.



According to Ghana News Agency, a statement signed by Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Dede Dzakpasu detailed the events leading up to the shoot-out. The Tema Regional Police Command had responded to a distress call reporting armed men breaking into a warehouse at the Tema Industrial Area.



Upon arrival, the police patrol team confronted the suspects, resulting in an exchange of gunfire. During the confrontation, three suspects were shot and have since been pronounced dead. The remaining suspects, some of whom are believed to have sustained gunshot wounds, managed to flee the scene.



Recovered from the suspects were a Bruni mod foreign pistol, a double-barreled locally manufactured pistol with two rounds of ammunition, and 11 live BB ammunition. The bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the Police Hospital Morgue for identification, preservation, and autopsy. Investigations are ongoing to apprehend the remaining suspects.



The Tema Regional Police Command praised the officers of the Kpone District Command for their prompt response to the emergency call.
