The Kwahu Paragliding Festival was noted for its growing influence in the tourism sector, serving as a major event in the Eastern Region. The festival’s success is attributed to strategic planning and community support, which have fostered economic development and increased tourism.
Additionally, the report highlighted the cultural significance of ‘December in GH,’ a major event that includes music festivals and diaspora homecomings. With rising visitor numbers and expenditures, this event is becoming a significant driver of Ghana’s tourism economy, especially among young adults.
The report also pointed out the emergence of short-term rental platforms like Airbnb, which have become a notable part of the global hospitality market. The platform’s success in Ghana is linked to its innovative approach, offering convenience and affordability while engaging local communities.
