Kumbungu DCE Encourages WASSCE Candidates to Strive for Excellence

Kumbungu: Alhaji Imoro Yakubu Kakpagu, Kumbungu District Chief Executive (DCE), has urged this year’s candidates taking the West African Senior School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE) in the area to approach their exams with confidence and aim for excellence. Alhaji Kakpagu imparted this encouragement during his visit to several examination centers in the district, aiming to boost the morale of the candidates and inspire them to approach the examinations with optimism.



According to Ghana News Agency, the visit was part of the DCE’s broader efforts to support educational improvement within the district. Accompanying Alhaji Kakpagu were the District Director of Education, senior administrative officers from the District Assembly, and some executives from the National Democratic Congress in the Kumbungu Constituency. During his address to the candidates, Alhaji Kakpagu wished them success in their exams, emphasizing the importance of confidence and a positive mindset in achieving accurate answers and good results.



He reassured the candidates of the government’s commitment to education, mentioning the initiative to absorb academic facility user fees for first-year students in public tertiary institutions. He encouraged the candidates to perform credibly in their exams to take advantage of such opportunities, which aim to ease financial burdens on families while expanding access to higher education.



The DCE highlighted President John Mahama’s vision, particularly in education, and reaffirmed the government’s dedication to reducing inequality and ensuring a smooth transition from secondary to tertiary education for all qualified students. He also prayed for divine guidance and protection for the candidates throughout the examination period, urging them to remain focused on their studies.
