Forestry Guard’s Body Discovered in Bush After Manhunt

Tutukpene: The body of a missing 37-year-old forestry guard, Mr. Daniel Obeng, has been found in a bush at Tutukpene in the Nkwanta South Municipality. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Mr. Micheal Kwabena Asiedu, Divisional Police Commander of the Nkwanta South Municipality in the Oti Region, confirmed this to the Ghana News Agency (GNA).



According to Ghana News Agency, the discovery of the body on July 11 concludes the manhunt by a search team, which included the police, forestry officials, and community members. This search had been ongoing since Mr. Obeng’s disappearance on July 4, 2025.



Mr. Christian Obeng, the father of the deceased, informed the GNA that his son has been laid to rest at their hometown Guama, located in the Jasikan Municipality.



The police have initiated an investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding Daniel’s death. The outcome of the investigation is anticipated to provide further insight into the events that led to his untimely demise.
