Assin North: The special voting exercise has commenced smoothly at the Assin North Constituency of the Central Region, with approximately 285 eligible voters expected to cast their ballots. This initiative facilitates voting for individuals involved in election-related duties, such as electoral officials, media practitioners, and security personnel.
According to Ghana News Agency, Mrs. Comfort Christabel Okai, the District Electoral Officer, confirmed that voting started at 0700 hours following the timely arrival of all necessary materials. She explained that the ballots from this exercise would not be counted immediately but would be added to the main election on December 7 at the constituency collation centre to ensure a comprehensive tally.
Meanwhile, at Winneba, a significant number of 2,271 voters are anticipated to participate in the special voting at the Police Command and Staff College. Mrs. Stephanie Obeng-Darko, the Effutu Director of the Electoral Commission, reported that the voting process also
began at 0700 hours with all materials duly in place. Both the National Democratic Congress and the New Patriotic Party had representation at the venue, alongside security officers to maintain law and order throughout the voting process.
