According to Ghana News Agency: Unity and Responsibility Ahead of Election 2024,’ served as a platform to underline the importance of peace and unity as the nation approaches its general elections. Rev. Buamah encouraged the clergy to educate their congregations on the significance of electoral participation, the rejection of violence, and the advocacy for justice and fairness.

Rev. Buamah, who also serves as an Environmental Analyst, cautioned Ghanaians against engaging in hate speech, spreading misinformation, or committing actions that might incite violence. He reminded Christians that their faith calls for unity and that their trust in God empowers them to overcome challenges. He highlighted that Ghana’s strength lies in its diversity and emphasized that peace is a continuous commitment that must be maintained.

In his address, Rev. Buamah stated that Christians are called to be instruments of peace within their homes, communities, and the nation. He added that as the elections approach, it is crucial fo
r Ghanaians to showcase to the world that their differences, be it political affiliation, tribe, religion, or opinion, will not divide them post-elections. He remarked that the ‘Peace Concert’ should serve not just as a musical celebration but as a reminder of their collective responsibility to be caretakers of God’s creation and epitomes of peace, especially during times that test unity.

Rev. Buamah encouraged attendees to let the melodies of their praise songs inspire reflections on the values of love, tolerance, and harmony. He noted that music, as a universal language, transcends political, ethnic, and social boundaries. He concluded his speech by calling on all Christians to fervently pray for the nation to emerge from the elections more united than before.
