Lassi: The Reverend Sam Foster Kwakye, Chairperson of the Sekyere Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), has dedicated a new chapel for the Lassi Resurrection Power Congregation in the Sene West District of the Bono East Region. The dedication ceremony also included a send-off service for Rev Enoch Kwame Otchere, the Minister in-charge who has served the congregation for three years.

According to Ghana News Agency, Rev Otchere, the outgoing resident minister of the Resurrection Power Congregation, noted that the construction of the chapel began in 2015 under Rev Daniel Okyei’s administration and was funded by the congregation. He expressed appreciation to the congregation for their committed services towards completing the chapel and also offered thanks to God.

Rev Kwakye emphasized that the PCG continues to be a Christ-centered, self-sustaining, and growing church that upholds the centrality of God’s word. He stated that through the enablement of the Holy Spirit, the church pursues a holistic ministry to ‘bring all creation to the glory of God.’

The service was attended by Rev Seth Owusu Koranteng, the Sekyere Presbytery Clerk, along with local chiefs, queens, and some political party leaders from the area.
