Dambai: Mr. Nelson Kofi Djabab, Member of Parliament (MP) for Krachi East constituency, has officially commenced the construction of a modern Accident and Emergency Complex at the Dambai Polytechnic.
According to Ghana News Agency, the project is a collaborative effort involving Avmarg Solution and Renes Sanae Foundation. The upcoming 30-bed facility will include bed triage and ward surgical units aimed at enhancing emergency healthcare and trauma care services for over 110,435 residents of Krachi East.
The MP emphasized his dedication to addressing the healthcare needs of his constituents, expressing that the well-being of his people is a priority and he is committed to ensuring access to quality health services. Dr. Mavis Amfo, Medical Superintendent of Dambai Polyclinic, thanked the MP for leading the project, which is expected to improve patient care and support health practitioners. She also called for support from philanthropists and organizations to help upgrade the polyclinic into a full-fledged hospital.
Mr. Eric Awuah, CEO of AJ RAMMA CIVILS, the contractors responsible for the facility, promised the community that the project would be completed within a year. He informed that the facility would be equipped with advanced medical tools, including airway management devices, monitoring and resuscitation equipment, ventilators, defibrillators, stretchers, suction machines, and procedure trays for suturing and catheterization. Mr. Awuah stated that these tools would enable healthcare professionals to deliver timely and effective medical care, thereby significantly improving healthcare outcomes in the region.
Nana Kwaku Beyennor II, Chief of Dambai, praised the MP for his efforts in enhancing the lives of people in the constituency and urged him to continue seeking more development initiatives. The initiation of the Accident and Emergency Complex is a significant step towards better healthcare services, and the community remains optimistic about future development projects.
