Accra: The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the release of GhS8,989,866.0 as a feeding grant for all learners in special schools in the country.
According to Ghana News Agency, the release of the feeding grant demonstrates the government’s commitment to inclusive education and the well-being of learners in special schools, the GES has said. This was contained in a press statement signed by the Head of Public Relations, Mr. Daniel Fenyi and copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA).
The management of the GES acknowledged and appreciated the patience, resilience, and dedication of all stakeholders in special schools across the country. ‘We also commend the Government for prioritising Special Needs Education,’ it stated.
The statement reaffirmed the commitment of the GES to collaborating with all stakeholders to ensure quality and equitable education for every learner irrespective of ability.
