Afrancho Messiah Presby Congregation Marks 40th Anniversary with Thanksgiving Service

Afrancho: The Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), Messiah Congregation, located in Afrancho within the Offinso North Municipality of the Ashanti Region, recently celebrated its 40th anniversary with a special Thanksgiving Service. Reverend Samuel Owusu Fianko, the Akumadan District Minister of the PCG, delivered the Anniversary Sermon, focusing on the theme: ‘Celebrating our Heritage, Persisting in Mission-Testifying about the Salvation of God.’



According to Ghana News Agency, Rev Fianko emphasized the importance of preserving the congregation’s heritage by spreading the message of Gospel Salvation. He encouraged the Messiah Congregation and the wider Christian community to actively engage in sharing God’s love with others. In attendance was Mr. John Kwame Ameyaw, Offinso North Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), who stood in for the Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Caesar Ofosu Acheampong. Mr. Ameyaw commended the church’s leadership and members for their dedication to their spiritual mission over the past four decades.



The event also included the presentation of citations to the founding members and other individuals and groups who have played significant roles in the growth and development of the church.
