Tourism Minister Commends Creative Arts Agency Board for National Service

Accra: Madam Abla Dzifa Gomashie, the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, has commended the newly appointed governing board of the Creative Arts Agency (CAA) for accepting the call to national service. "The survival and success of the Agency depends greatly on your collective leadership. I urge you to uphold the values of integrity, professionalism, and dedication to the country," she stated.

According to Ghana News Agency, during the official inauguration of the Board, the minister charged members with the critical responsibility of driving growth and innovation in Ghana's tourism and creative arts sector. She highlighted that the inauguration signifies a renewed commitment by the government to strengthen the institutional framework supporting the country's creative industry. The board is expected to shape the strategic direction of the CAA.

Madam Gomashie emphasized that the board should bolster the work of the Agency in promoting Ghanaian culture, nurturing talent, and expanding opportunities in the arts sector both locally and internationally. She outlined key areas of focus, including alignment with national development priorities, promotion of good governance, and deepening collaboration with stakeholders across the creative ecosystem.

The Minister expressed confidence in the board's capabilities, noting the diverse professional backgrounds and experience each member brings. She appreciated President Mahama for assembling a "distinguished and dynamic" team of professionals to guide the Agency's operations and long-term development.

The newly inaugurated board members include Messieurs Gideon Cyril Aryeequaye, William Akwetey Bonsu, Divine Owusu Ansah, Yaw Lorlorwu Sekyi, Ms. Brenda Abankwah, and Ms. Divina Dornuki Nkwatabisa. The rest are Mesdames Akofa Edjeani, Leonora Buckman, Korkui Selormey, Mr. Latif Batalima Abubakar, and Mr. Benjamin Anabila.
