Tunis: Tunisian tennis player Ons Jabeur, world's 10th, reached the second round of Wimbledon, the third Grand Slam tournament, with a 2-0 (6-3, 6-1) win over world's 70th Japanese Muyuka Yoshijima in the first round on Tuesday.Jabeur will face in the second round US Robyn Montgomery, world's 161st, who eliminated Australian Olivia Gadecki (173rd) in the first round, 2-0 (6-4, 6-4).Ons Jabeur is in search for her first career Grand Slam title at Wimbledon, having been unlucky on two occasions, losing in the finals of the last two editions in 2022 and 2023.The 29-year-old, who has five WTA titles to her name, lost the 2022 final to Kazakhstan's Elena Rybakina and the 2023 final to Czech Markéta Vondrousova.Source: Agence Tunis Afrique Presse
