Togbega Kadzi Zogah II, the Paramount Chief of Sokpoe and President of the Sokpoe Traditional Council, has been formally inducted into the Volta Regional House of Chiefs (VRHC).The ceremony, held in Ho, signified a major milestone in his leadership journey.Togbega Zogah pledged to leverage his membership to drive transformative change in Sokpoe.He gave the assurance to resolve long-standing chieftaincy disputes, promote peace and stability, and drive infrastructure development, education, and healthcare initiatives.'I will ensure that Sokpoe's rich cultural heritage is preserved. Together, we will empower local economic growth through innovative initiatives,' he added.Togbega Zogah mentioned that he would facilitate access to resources and expertise for community development projects.He emphasised the importance of collective effort and cooperation among traditional leaders, government agencies, and community members to achieve common objectives geared towards the breakthrough of Sokpoe.Togbega Zogah expressed gratitude to the government for establishing the Sokpoe Traditional Council, which has boosted development efforts.He also commended the VRHC leadership for addressing regional chieftaincy issues.This induction, among nine others, strengthens collaboration between traditional leaders and government agencies, enhancing representation of Sokpoe's interests at the regional level.The induction ceremony was attended by prominent traditional leaders, government officials, and community representatives.The VRHC, established under the Chieftaincy Act 2008 (Act 759), aims to promote unity, peace, and development among traditional authorities in the Volta Region.Source: Ghana News Agency
