Techire Chief Calls for Clinic Upgrade to Address Growing Health Needs

Accra: Otumfuo Brempong Nana Okoh Agyemang Boakye II, the Chief of Techire has appealed for the upgrade of the Techire Clinic to a polyclinic status. This request aims to meet the health demand needs of the growing population in the mining community within the Tano North Municipality. The Chief also called on the government to upgrade the Techire Community Day Senior High School into a boarding status.According to Ghana News Agency, Otumfuo Boakye II made the appeal during a visit from Madam Charity Gardiner, the Ahafo Regional Minister. The Minister was on a tour of the region and was congratulated by the Chief for her appointment. The Chief emphasized that the upgrades of the clinic and the school are the immediate concerns and needs of the community, and he urged the Regional Minister to advocate on their behalf to the government.Otumfuo Boakye II encouraged the Regional Minister to avoid partisan politics and to work diligently to enhance the development of the region. He stressed the importance of en suring equitable distribution of development projects across local communities. In response, Madam Gardiner assured the community of her commitment to addressing their developmental needs to improve their quality of life.Following the meeting, Otumfuo Boakye led the Regional Minister and her entourage, including Mr. Eric Adomako, the Ahafo Regional Coordinating Director, to inspect the current condition of the Techire clinic and the ongoing construction of a Senior High School block.
