Benchema: The Ghana Police Service is investigating 88 individuals who were intercepted aboard two Metro Mass Transit buses at Benchema near Asawinso in the Western North Region on Tuesday. Preliminary police investigations indicate that the passengers were allegedly recruited by one Sammy from various locations in the Greater Accra Region, including Adenta, Oyarifa, and Madina.According to Ghana News Agency, the recruits were reportedly en route to provide security at polling stations within some constituencies in the Western North Region. A Police statement said the suspects were currently in police custody, assisting with the investigation.The Police are intensifying efforts to locate and apprehend the said Sammy, who is believed to be the mastermind behind the operation.
