Pastorship is No License to Beg for Money – Kyei-Duah

Accra: Reverend Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah, the Founder of Believers' Worship Centre, has advised Pastors and prophets not to use their positions to beg for money from their congregation. He said the power to prophesy, see vision and explain dreams should not give them license to collect money from people.

According to Ghana News Agency, Rev. Kyei-Duah noted that 'once someone starts preaching, they call themselves Pastors, establish churches and collect money from people in the name of Offertory and Tithes'. He provided this guidance during a sermon themed 'What is all about Pastorship,' Acts 2:16-21, which was broadcast live.

Reading from Acts 2:17, he explained that 'in the last days, God says, I will pour out my spirit on all people. Your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams,' emphasizing that the ability to see visions, prophesy, preach, and interpret dreams is part of God's divine plan.

Rev. Kyei-Duah, also known as 'The Voice of God,' cautioned that Pastorship should not be used for scandalous, defaming, and defrauding activities, as 'we are all the same before the Lord.' He warned that when one becomes a Pastor and relies on others for money, it disrupts God's plans.

He urged so-called Pastors to prioritize the well-being of their followers rather than seeking personal financial gain.
