MTN Ghana Contributes GHc20,000 to Support Effutu Aboakyer Festival

WINNEBA: MTN Ghana has presented a cheque of GHS20,000, assorted drink hampers, and MTN branded souvenirs to the Effutu Traditional Council as their support for the 2025 edition of the Aboakyer Festival. Senior Manager for the South-West Business District of MTN, Mr. Prince Owusu Nyarko, led a delegation to the Effutu Traditional Council to make the donation, highlighting MTN’s commitment to the people and reaffirming their ongoing relationship with the chiefs and the community.

According to Ghana News Agency, the gesture by MTN Ghana is an expression of gratitude to the Chiefs and people of Effutu for supporting the MTN brand, which has played a significant role in helping the network maintain its leadership in the telecommunications industry. Mr. Nyarko pledged the company’s dedication to strengthening their relationship with the traditional council, ensuring that the people of Effutu and the nation continue to benefit from their products and services.

Mr. Nyarko also mentioned that customer experience centers have been established across Winneba town to assist customers and provide education on MoMo fraud, thereby safeguarding community members against fraudsters. He emphasized the importance of these centers in enhancing customer experience during the festival celebrations.

Neenyi Ghartey VII, the Paramount Chief of Effutu State, received the items on behalf of the Festival Planning Committee. He expressed gratitude to MTN for their consistent support and applauded them for fulfilling their Corporate Social Responsibility. He acknowledged the fruitful relationship with MTN and assured them of the community’s continued support.
