Sunyani: The Paramount Chief of the Sunyani Traditional Area, Odeefour Ogyeamansan Boahen Korkor II, has initiated a peace accord to reconcile the three Gates of Boahen Korkor Lineage of the Sunyani Royal Family to strengthen traditional bond.
According to Ghana News Agency, discussions at the meeting held on Thursday May 2, 2025, centered on peace building, reconciliation, and development. The meeting was a crucial gathering for the stability and progress of the Traditional Area, discussing extensively the disputes within the Royal Family to foster peace and unity.
The statement quoted Odeefour Ogyeamansan Korkor II highlighting the integral role of the royal family towards maintaining social cohesion and unity for the purpose of development. He urged the youth of the royal household to refrain from unlawful activities and the abuse of hard drugs, emphasizing the importance of focusing on education, employable skills training, and productive ventures to build a better future for themselves and their families.
Additionally, the Omanhene called on family elders to monitor and guide the youth, ensuring that they stay on the right path, as a measure to secure the future of the royal lineage and the community at large.
