Ghana Teacher Prize 2025 Winner Credits Dedication and Hard Work for Success

According to ghana news agency:ccording to Ghana News Agency, during an interview conducted on Sunday, October 5, at the event held at the University of Health and Allied Sciences in Ho, Mr Tiimob expressed gratitude to God, his family, students, colleagues, the school leadership, and all stakeholders for their support. He revealed that his journey to this achievement involved sleepless nights and relentless efforts to develop learners holistically, mentor them, and equip them with good morals.Mr Tiimob highlighted his initiatives, including providing global exposure to his learners, conducting home visits to engage parents and guardians, and involving past students to motivate current ones. He expressed a desire to establish a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) centre to offer hands-on learning opportunities, particularly for less-privileged learners, especially females.Madam Sabina Ferguson Haizel, a Kindergarten teacher from Archbishop Andoh R/C Basic School in Tema Metro, Greater Accra Region, who emerged as the 1st Runner Up and received a 4×4 Pick Up as a prize, shared her experiences. She noted that her focus on innovative and inclusive teaching pedagogies, linked to sustainable development goals, contributed to her success.Vice President Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang expressed the Presidency's appreciation for teachers' selfless sacrifices in nurturing talents and skills, emphasizing the importance of education in the nation's democracy, development, and the government's reset agenda. She outlined efforts to strengthen education policies and improve conditions for teachers while urging them to uphold integrity and professionalism.Mr Haruna Iddrisu, Minister of Education, congratulated the awardees and all teachers nationwide for their dedication. He encouraged continued collaboration to elevate the status of teachers through quality education and to collectively build the Ghana envisioned by all.The Ghana Teacher Prize, originally instituted in 1995 as the Best Teacher Award, is an annual national award organized by the Ministry of Education through the National Teaching Council to recognize outstanding and impactful teachers in the pre-tertiary and college of education sectors.
