Mr John Dramani Mahama, Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) says when elected at the December polls, his government will create and promote 'The Black Star Experience', Ghana's flagship Culture, Arts and Tourism brand to make Ghana a preferred tourism destination.He said the 'Black Star Experience' would enjoy a year-round celebration in all major entertainment, artistic and educational disciplines.Speaking at the launch of the NDC's manifesto, Mr John Dramani Mahama said the initiative would include the Pan African Month, celebrating heritage, history and diaspora engagement.It will also include the Ghana Film Festival and Awards month, Ghana music world, culinary month, architecture, design, arts and crafts, fashion and textiles month, and literacy/Literary month.Mr Mahama said the next NDC-led government would support young digital content creators in developing content that promoted Ghanaian culture and revived the Creative Arts Fund to provide sustainable financial support for st art-ups and the ailing large, medium and small creative enterprises.The NDC would also review and strictly enforce broadcasting, digital media and local content provisions to stimulate local artistic productions and facilitate, enforce, and enhance the collection and management system for copyrights and royalties in Ghana.'We will also partner with the private sector to build an ultra-modern recreation village with auditoriums for films, musical concerts and other special event.'Source: Ghana News Agency
