Election 2024: 60,000 Voters Prepare to Cast Ballots in Anlo Constituency.

Anlo: A total of 60,432 registered voters are set to participate in the upcoming general election on December 7 in the Anlo Constituency of the Volta Region. These voters, including those casting their ballots for the first time, will have the opportunity to vote for both presidential and parliamentary candidates at 144 polling stations distributed throughout the constituency.According to Ghana News Agency, the Shime area will accommodate 28 polling stations, Kome will have five, and the remaining stations will be spread across the littoral regions, including Tegbi, Woe, Anloga, Srogboe, Dzita, and Anyanui. In addition, there are 550 special voters, consisting of electoral officials, security, and media personnel, who are scheduled to vote on Monday at the Anloga District Police Station.Mr. Felix Hommey, the Anloga District Electoral Officer, confirmed these numbers and expressed confidence in the Commission's preparedness for the elections. "We have received all necessary materials for both the special v oting on December 2 and the general election. These materials have been securely stored, and we are ready to manage the entire process," he stated.Despite the identification of 20 potential flashpoints, including Blemeazado and Kportorgboe electoral areas, as well as certain polling stations at Woe Bave and Dzita, Mr. Hommey assured that collaboration with security agencies would ensure a smooth electoral process. Preparations are well underway in Anlo as constituents eagerly anticipate the opportunity to exercise their democratic rights.
