DZODZE: Superintendent (Supt.) Eric Vondee, the outgoing Acting District Commander of Dzodze, has expressed his gratitude to the Dzodze Traditional Council and other key individuals for their support in refurbishing the Dzodze Police Station and District Headquarters. The refurbishment included painting and various internal upgrades, giving both facilities a fresh and modern look.According to Ghana News Agency, Supt. Vondee shared his appreciation during a send-off ceremony organized in his honor by the Dzodze Traditional Council on Sunday, November 10. Supt. Vondee remarked, 'I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to the refurbishment of the Dzodze District Police Headquarters and the Police Station. Your generosity and commitment have made a significant impact. This facelift was possible because of your unwavering support.'He also took a moment to thank his fellow officers for their dedication and hard work during his tenure from April to October this year. 'To all the dedicated police personnel who worked alongside me, I say thank you. Your commitment and hard work made our achievements possible. Today, as I stand here to receive this honor, I do so on behalf of the entire team, because our success was a collective effort,' he added.Supt. Vondee emphasized that the send-off ceremony was more than just a celebration of his service; it was a testament to the strong bond between the police service and the community of Dzodze. 'This event is a reminder that when the police and community work together, we can achieve remarkable things. I am proud of the relationships we have built, and as I continue my role as Divisional Crime Officer, I carry with me valuable lessons learned and memories of our collaboration,' he stated.The newly appointed District Commander, Supt. Eric Van Kofi, also addressed the gathering, expressing his gratitude to the Dzodze Traditional Council for their support of his predecessor. He pledged to build on the progress made and to work tirelessly to ma intain peace and security in Dzodze. 'I appreciate the warm welcome and the support shown to Supt. Vondee. I am committed to continuing the good work and ensuring that Dzodze remains a peaceful and secure community,' Supt. Van Kofi assured.Torgbui Dzoku V, the Paramount Chief and President of the Dzodze Traditional Council, commended Supt. Vondee for his exceptional service during his six-month tenure. He highlighted key accomplishments made in collaboration with Chief Superintendent (C.Supt.) Samuel Odame, including the inauguration of the Dzodze Traditional Council, the installation of Mama Agbalogui II as the Paramount Queen Mother, and the successful celebration of the 2024 De Za Festival.In recognition of their contributions, Torgbui Dzoku, on behalf of the Traditional Council, presented a citation to Supt. Vondee, acknowledging his leadership and hard work. A separate citation was also presented to Chief Supt. Odame for his support and collaboration.Supt. Vondee concluded by presenting a letter of appreciation to the chiefs and prominent individuals who had supported his efforts throughout his tenure. He expressed his hope that the strong partnership between the police and the community would continue to thrive.The event was attended by police officers from the Ketu Divisional Command, community leaders, chiefs, queen mothers, and residents of Dzodze, all of whom gathered to honor Supt. Vondee for his service and to welcome the new District Commander.
