Dzita: Dr David Esinu Yao Normanyo, Assembly member for Dzita Electoral Area in the Anlo Constituency, has called on his constituents to carefully consider their choices and actively participate in the upcoming December 7 elections. He emphasized that the Presidential and Parliamentary elections present a significant opportunity for the people to shape the future of their area and urged them to vote in alignment with their beliefs and priorities.According to Ghana News Agency, Dr Normanyo highlighted in an interview that voting is not just a right but a powerful means of expressing beliefs and priorities. He stressed that every vote represents a step toward addressing critical issues such as healthcare, education, and job creation that deeply affect the lives of Dzita citizens. Dr Normanyo acknowledged that the Dzita Traditional Area faces serious challenges, particularly in healthcare, with many residents having to travel long distances for medical services at facilities like the Anloga Clinic and Keta Mun icipal Hospital, which can be costly.Furthermore, he addressed the vital issue of education, noting that while recent self-help renovations at Dzita Basic School show progress, schools in the Traditional Area still lack essential facilities. Dr Normanyo also expressed concern over youth unemployment, which remains a significant challenge. The area's primary economic activities, artisanal fishing, and vegetable farming are threatened due to declining fish catches and reduced crop yields caused by climate change, pushing many families into poverty.Dr Normanyo urged the community to elect a President and a Parliamentarian committed to developing alternative livelihoods and entrepreneurship initiatives that can create sustainable job opportunities. He emphasized that the December 7 election is a crucial platform for the community to hold leaders accountable and encouraged high voter turnout. He called on voters, especially those living outside the Traditional Area, to return home and cast their votes. The As sembly member, who also serves as the Volta Regional Executive Secretary for the National Peace Council, assured that his office would provide free transportation on Friday and Saturday for about 126 voters from the Dzita-Anyanui Zonal Area residing in Accra, Ashaiman, Ho, Sogakope, and Dabala to ensure everyone's participation in the elections.Dr Normanyo concluded by saying, "Remember, when we come together to vote, we amplify our collective voice and strengthen our communities. Let us unite on December 7, raise our voices, and collaboratively pave the way for a brighter future for the Dzita Traditional Area and allied communities. Your vote is powerful. Together, we can bring about meaningful change for our communities."
