Accra: As Ghana approaches its December 7 general election, Dr Lawrence Tetteh, Founder and President of Worldwide Miracle Outreach and a globally recognized evangelist, has called on Ghanaians to ensure a peaceful and credible electoral process. Dr Tetteh emphasized the importance of unity and peace for the nation during an interview with the Ghana News Agency at the launch of the chip-embedded passport by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in Accra.According to Ghana News Agency, Dr Tetteh reminded citizens that Ghana is their only homeland and stressed the significance of the election's impact on the nation's future. He urged Ghanaians to embrace their collective responsibility to maintain peace before, during, and after the election. "Prosperity will judge us if we don't do it right," he stated, highlighting the need for fairness and principle in the electoral process.Dr Tetteh further noted that irrespective of political affiliations, whether with the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the New Pa triotic Party (NPP), or any other party, Ghanaians should unite to ensure a fair election devoid of violence. He emphasized the critical need for peace, especially as the international community closely observes the election proceedings in Ghana.He highlighted Ghana's reputation as a beacon of peace in the African sub-region and urged the nation to uphold this status. Dr Tetteh called on political leaders, including those from the NPP, NDC, and the Convention People's Party (CPP), to denounce violence and advocate for peace, reinforcing the nation's commitment to a harmonious electoral process.
