Dormaa MCE Assures Reshaping of Deplorable Roads Under DRIP Programme.

DORMAA: Mr. Drissa Ouattara, the Dormaa Central Municipal Chief Executive, has announced that all deplorable road networks, particularly those connecting farming communities within the municipality, will be improved in the near future. This initiative aims to facilitate the movement of farmers and ease the transportation of foodstuffs from rural areas to urban centers, thereby stimulating economic growth and development.According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Ouattara revealed that the Municipal Assembly has received machinery including a grader, pee loader, water bouncer, compact roller, backhoe, concrete mixer, and two tipper trucks as part of the government's District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP). These resources were pivotal in addressing the road infrastructure challenges in the area.The Chief Executive shared these details during his address at the Municipal celebration of the 40th National Farmers Day, which was held at Twumkrom in the Municipality. He highlighted that construction work had alread y commenced on reshaping the Duasidan-Yaakrom road. Additionally, Trade Vision, a road construction firm, has been working on the Aboabo and Kwameasua roads from Dormaa-Ahenkro.Mr. Ouattara also mentioned that work on the Dwaho, Amakyekrom, Asunsu Dwen, Manteware, Asikasu Anafo, Nsesreso, and Ahugunu roads would begin soon. He emphasized the importance of maintaining the DRIP equipment and urged the 14 operators employed to manage them to ensure their proper care and longevity.
