Nkroful: Mr Joseph Agyekum, the Ellembelle National Democratic Congress (NDC) Constituency Secretary, has expressed appreciation to President John Dramani Mahama, the party hierarchy, and the people of the area for his nomination as the District Chief Executive (DCE).
According to Ghana News Agency, Mr Agyekum conveyed his gratitude on behalf of the NDC Constituency Executives, thanking President Mahama for the trust and confidence placed in him as the DCE nominee. He also expressed his appreciation to the leadership of the NDC, from the National and Regional levels to the Branch Executives, for their guidance and encouragement throughout his journey.
Mr Agyekum extended his thanks to all stakeholders, including traditional leaders, party supporters, Assembly Members, political actors, and the youth of Ellembelle. This was stated in a statement he issued and signed, which was copied to the Ghana News Agency in Nkroful in the Western Region.
He acknowledged the expectations placed on him by the people of Ellembelle and President Mahama, emphasizing that he does not take this confidence for granted. He expressed his commitment to fostering an environment of peace, unity, and development for the benefit of all citizens in the district.
