Accra: World Vision Ghana (WVG) and Polytank Ghana Limited have entered into a significant agreement to improve access to clean drinking water in several vulnerable communities across Ghana. This agreement, signed on Tuesday, aims to provide approximately 45,000 litres of water to communities located in the Ahafo, Volta, and Oti regions, including Asunafo, Goaso, Aveyime, Nkwanta, Kenyase, Krachi Nchumuru, and Kadjebi.According to Ghana News Agency, the partnership will last for one year and seeks to promote public health, environmental sustainability, and community resilience. At the signing ceremony held in Accra, Mr. Jean Claude-Mukadi, Country Director of WVG, emphasized that this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) represents a significant step towards improving the health and wellbeing of these vulnerable communities. He highlighted that the MoU aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal Six, which emphasizes ensuring clean water and sanitation for all.Mr. Claude-Mukadi expressed conf idence that the collaboration would leverage Polytank's expertise in providing water storage solutions and World Vision's dedication to community empowerment, leading to meaningful progress and improved lives in affected communities. Meanwhile, Mr. Girender Mohinani, Head of Business at Polytank Ghana Limited, stated that the partnership aligns with the company's core values of supporting households, institutions, and communities with water storage solutions. As part of the agreement, Polytank will provide 26 polytanks, strategically installed in schools, health centres, and vulnerable communities to enhance access to clean drinking water.The agreement was formalized with Mr. Jean Claude-Mukadi signing on behalf of World Vision Ghana and Mr. Girender Mohinani signing for Polytank Ghana Limited. Mr. Joshua Baidoo, WVG's Integrated Programmes Director, expressed optimism that the partnership would transform lives and restore dignity to communities in the Ahafo, Oti, and Volta regions.World Vision Ghana, a C hristian relief and advocacy organization, is dedicated to improving the living conditions of the most vulnerable children, families, and communities. The NGO operates in 14 out of the 16 regions of Ghana, focusing on water, sanitation, and health facilities, impacting the livelihoods of over three million people. Polytank Ghana Limited, a subsidiary of the Mohinani Group, has been a leader in manufacturing high-quality plastics and durable water storage products in Ghana for over 30 years.
