ACCRA: Vivo Energy Ghana, the marketer and distributor of Shell-branded fuels and lubricants, in collaboration with HR Focus Universe, has held the second edition of its ShePower Campus Mentorship Programme at Accra Girls' Senior High School. This initiative is part of the company's broader efforts to promote diversity and inclusion by encouraging young women to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and aspire to leadership positions.According to Ghana News Agency, the ShePower Campus Mentorship Programme is designed to motivate young girls in senior high schools to explore courses and careers in STEM fields, where women have been historically underrepresented. Vivo Energy Ghana aims to 'Fuel Change' through mentorship and guidance, creating opportunities that leave a lasting impact on the lives of female students.The event began with a presentation on Vivo Energy Ghana's operations, core values, and the importance of women in the organization. This served as a platfor m to highlight career opportunities in STEM and inspire students to aim high. An all-female panel discussion followed, featuring accomplished professionals from Vivo Energy Ghana who shared their personal success stories, challenges, and mentorship advice to encourage students to confidently explore STEM pathways.Participants engaged with the panelists, asking questions related to career choices, overcoming obstacles, and the role of mentorship in achieving their goals.
