"Two new higher education institutions have been created in the Gafsa and Tunis universities for the 2024-2025 academic year, namely the Higher School of Health Sciences and Engineering in Gafsa and the Higher Institute of Digital Engineering in Tunis," Higher Education and Scientific Research Minister Moncef Boukthir said Thursday.Speaking at a press conference held at the Tunis Science City to mark the launch of the National University Guidance Days, the minister said that the Higher School of Health Sciences and Engineering in Gafsa offers 4 degrees in anaesthesia, intensive care, healthcare, emergency and medical imaging, while the Higher Institute of Digital Engineering in Tunis offers an integrated preparatory cycle.The creation of these two higher education institutes aims to provide specialities that are in demand on the job market and boost the employability of higher education graduates, he pointed out.Boukthir further indicated that his ministry undertakes to provide the best possible conditi ons for students during the academic year, in terms of accommodation, living expenses and study grants, as well as cultural and sporting activities and psychological support.Scholarships and university loans will be granted to 150,107 students during the 2024-2025 academic year, he added.The ministry takes a major interest in the psychological well-being of students, he indicated. to this end, a digital platform has been launched to provide distance psychological support for students at the following linkSource: Agence Tunis Afrique Presse
