Rabat: The Black Spikers, Ghana's Beach Volleyball team, have arrived in Morocco to take part in the 2025 Africa Seniors and Under-21 Beach Volleyball Championships. The event, scheduled from June 23-30, will serve as a qualification round for the World Cup in Australia later this year.
According to Ghana News Agency, Ghana's representation in the women's category includes Rashaka Katadat from the Ghana Army, Benedicta Akorli and Grace Dagadu from the Ghana Air Force, and Joana Mensah from Elwak Wings. Competing in the men's category are Paul Akan, Abdul Hameed Ibrahim, and Emmanuel Adamitey from the Ghana Police, along with Nicholas Tetteh from the Ghana Air Force.
At the Under-21 level, Emmanuel Abbey from the Ghana Fire Service and Eben Anyetei from Labadi VC will aim to bring honors to Ghana. The team is under the guidance of Head Coach Seidu Ajanako, assisted by Coach Chapnuor Eden, with additional support from Kelvin Carboo and Juliana Aryee. Furthermore, Ghana's Bright Ableteor will participate as a referee in the championships.
