Suaman: The Suaman District Directorate of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) in the Western North Region has convened a meeting with Parliamentary Candidates to formulate strategies for ensuring peace in the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections. The meeting, held in Suaman, facilitated a dialogue aimed at addressing electoral concerns and promoting tolerance and peaceful elections within the constituency.According to Ghana News Agency, the event provided a platform for candidates to communicate their visions and policies, enabling the constituents to make informed decisions. Mr. Felix Ayisi, the Suaman District NCCE Director, emphasized that the engagement is part of the Commission's proactive measures to foster peace throughout the electoral process and to educate voters on electoral procedures. He highlighted that it is the first such initiative in the Suaman District, aiming to address voter concerns, particularly those pertinent to the Suaman Constituency.Parliamentary c andidates, including Mr. Frederick Addy of the New Patriotic Party and Mr. John Asare of the Liberal Party of Ghana, committed to promoting peace among their supporters to ensure the elections on December 7 are conducted peacefully. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Juliana Forson, the Suaman District Police Commander, urged the electorate to maintain peaceful and orderly conduct to ensure a violence-free election.The occasion was attended by Mr. Roland Yeboah, the District Electoral Officer, along with traditional and religious leaders, Civic Society Organisations, the Muslim community, the media, and the public, reflecting a broad spectrum of community involvement.
