Bizerte: Civil Protection units in Bizerte governorate, in collaboration with forest rangers, managed to fully bring under control a huge fire that broke out on Sunday in Mount El Menara, in South Bizerte delegation.The fire extinguishing operation lasted for almost 14 hours, given the difficulty to access the mountain and the gusts of wind, Regional Civil Protection Director Kamel Militi told TAP, adding that two fire trucks were deployed to bring the fire under control.An investigation was initiated by the National Guard to pinpoint the causes of the fire, which destroyed some 8 ha of forest, he said.Source: Agence Tunis Afrique Presse
