Madam Shamima Muslim, Deputy Communication Director for National Democratic Congress (NDC), Zongo Caucus, has apealed to party members to be united and committed to the campaign assignment to return the party to power.She said former President John Dramani Mahama, Leader and Flagbearer of the NDC, had policies that would improve the country's economy, especially for women, who were into the processing trade.She made the appeal when she met with some women groups at Pong-Tamale and Kadia in the Savelugu Constituency of the Northern Region.She was accompanied by her husband and some NDC leaders in the region.Madam Muslim said the 24-hour economy policy proposal by the NDC Flagbearer is designed to support women with capital to grow their businesses to reduce poverty, especially in rural areas, and encouraged party members to intensify the campaigns to attract more sympathisers.She said under the policy, the NDC government would boost production for both domestic consumption and export, as well as crea te jobs for the citizens.She said the NDC government would also provide the needed support to men and women for large-scale agricultural production to achieve food self-sufficiency and provide raw materials to feed industries.As part of the meeting, she presented some items to the two women groups to enhance their campaigns.Madam Muslim paid courtesy call on Yoo-Naa Yakubu Andani Abdulai, Paramount Chief of Savelugu, at his palace to seek his blessings.Source: Ghana News Agency
