Ms. Linda Obenewaa Ocloo, the Member of Parliament for Shai-Osudoku in the Greater Accra Region, has commenced the distribution of streetlights to assembly members in the constituency.Mr. Augustine Akumeni Otoo, the Deputy Communications Officer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Shai-Osuoku, told the Ghana News Agency that the initiative was aimed at enhancing security, visibility, and overall quality of life for residents of the communities.Mr. Otoo said a total of 100 streetlights were expected to be distributed and installed under the project, adding that the communities within the Shai enclave would receive their own first and those within the Osudoko area would get theirs in due time.He added that the strategic approach would ensure that all areas of the district benefitted from the initiative.He explained that the street light distribution initiative was an annual tradition established by the MP as a demonstration of her unwavering commitment to community development and safety.The Deputy NDC Communication Officer for Shai-Osudoku indicated that Ms. Ocloo urges all assembly members to install the streetlights in designated areas that would benefit the community at large, ensuring maximum impact and visibility.Source: Ghana News Agency
