Rhema Evangelical Mission Hosts Inaugural Global Leadership Conference in Ghana

Accra: The Rhema Evangelical Mission (REM), in partnership with Yenyung Graduate University of South Korea, has successfully conducted its first-ever global leadership conference in Ghana. This three-day event, held under the theme 'In the Name of Jesus Rise Up Ghana,' united Christians and various stakeholders from across the nation and the continent.

According to Ghana News Agency, Professor Duke Ofosu-Anim, a lecturer at Yenyung Graduate University and the Assistant Director for REM, highlighted the mission's non-denominational nature, comprising Christians from multiple countries with a shared objective of spreading the gospel worldwide. While REM has hosted conferences in various global regions, West Africa had remained unexplored, prompting the decision to organize the inaugural sub-regional conference in Accra, Ghana.

Professor Ofosu-Anim emphasized the need for Ghana to develop leaders who embody Christian values and practice righteousness in governance. The aim is to cultivate upright leaders who resist cronyism, corruption, and bribery. He stated that the mission seeks to empower REM members to take on leadership roles and uphold truth and integrity in society.

Mr. Jake Lee, Worshipper and Media Director for REM, noted that the mission's conference journey began in 1990 in Los Angeles, USA. Since then, they have held numerous conferences worldwide, with the goal of evangelizing all nations and spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. Their programs cover fundamental Biblical teachings, including topics such as identity in Christ, the significance of forgiveness, and becoming a positive influence in the world.

Mr. Lee also mentioned that Yenyung Graduate University, a sister institution to the ministry, hosts a significant number of Ghanaian students who have attended REM conferences in Korea. Encouraged by their experiences, these students hoped for a similar event to take place in Ghana. The mission is now focused on establishing strong relationships with Ghanaian churches and universities, having already signed memoranda of understanding with several institutions in Ghana.

Participants of the conference shared their experiences with Ghana News Agency, expressing that the event was impactful due to the spiritual enrichment and biblical teachings. They advocated for the conference to become an annual event in Ghana.
