Sunyani: Mr Ransford Antwi, an Independent Parliamentary Candidate in the Sunyani East Constituency, has commended the police, Electoral Commission (EC), voters, and all stakeholders for a peaceful special voting exercise. He highlighted the level of political maturity and sense of civility that characterized the EC's special voting exercise, expressing hope that these qualities would persist during the General Election on December 7.According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Antwi, in an interview in Sunyani, praised the professionalism demonstrated by the security services, stating it indicated their readiness to ensure a peaceful General Election. He expressed confidence in the EC's ability to conduct credible elections to the satisfaction of all stakeholders. He urged political parties, Parliamentary Candidates, and their followers to remain calm and maintain their trust in the EC.In a separate interview, Miss Winifred Agyekum, the Sunyani Municipal Officer of the EC, also appreciated the stakeholders, inclu ding the special voters, for their level of comportment. She reported that a total of 1,012 out of 1,137 registered special voters cast their ballots in the exercise, which concluded peacefully in the constituency.
