President’s Directive for Bridge Construction: GAF Engineers Undertake Feasibility Studies at Asuokow

Asuokow: Engineers of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) have visited the Asuokow community in the Lower West Akim Constituency of the Eastern Region to conduct feasibility studies for the construction of a bridge over a stream.

According to Ghana News Agency, this initiative follows President John Dramani Mahama's directive to GAF engineers to build a bridge at Asuokow to improve accessibility for students. The directive was prompted by a viral video showing a schoolboy carrying another on his back while crossing a stream via a fallen tree to reach school.

Dr Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, the Defence Minister, stated, "As President John Dramani Mahama assured Ghanaians, we're working to permanently and urgently resolve the challenge the people and the school children of Asuokow are facing. We shall fix it!"
