President Returns Home After Attending Munich Security Conference and AU Summit

Accra: President John Dramani Mahama on Monday afternoon returned home after attending the Munich Security Conference in Germany and the 38th African Union Heads of State and Government Summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The President's arrival was marked by a welcoming ceremony at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra.

According to Ghana News Agency, Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang was present to greet President Mahama upon his return. The welcoming delegation also included several Presidential Staffers and Ministers of State. Among those present were Mr. Julius Debrah, the Chief of Staff at the Presidency; Mr. Prosper Douglas Kwaku Bani, the National Security Advisor; Mrs. Marietta Brew Appiah-Oppong, the Legal Advisor to the President; Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, the Defence Minister; and Alhaji Mohammed Mubarak Muntaka, the Minister for the Interior.

The Munich Security Conference and the African Union Summit are significant events for global and regional security discussions, respectively. President Mahama's participation in these high-level meetings underscores the importance of international collaboration and dialogue in addressing security challenges and fostering continental unity in Africa.
