Accra: Vice President Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has convened a strategic stakeholder meeting on the proposed Women's Development Bank. A statement issued by the Office of the Vice President said the meeting was to advance the progress already made at previous consultations.
According to Ghana News Agency, the meeting also allowed stakeholders to deepen their understanding of the bank's mandate. 'We remain fully committed to establishing a bank that works for the underserved women across our communities,' the Vice President said.
'This initiative is not simply about access to finance, but it is about sustainable development, dignity, and empowerment for women at the margins who are too often left behind.' Vice President Opoku-Agyemang emphasized that by advancing this vision together, they were building a future where it was not normal for women to fall through the cracks.
