Accra: The Church of Pentecost (CoP) has inaugurated the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC), Mountain View, at Tuba in the Kasoa Area. The new centre is expected to serve as a hub of vibrant evangelism and excellence, winning souls and promoting community transformation through Godly values.
According to Ghana News Agency, Apostle James Kwabena Asare, Kasoa Area Head of the CoP, highlighted the importance of positioning the church to reflect spiritual excellence and social relevance during the inauguration. He emphasized the need for the PIWC to maintain high standards in protocol, music, security, and environment, coupled with a strong faith among its members. Apostle Asare remarked, "When we begin to position ourselves in that dimension, we are creating an ever-growing class."
The new PIWC, formerly known as the Mountain View Worship Centre, seeks to embody the core identity of the PIWC brand, which is known for attracting professionals and the elite in society. Felix Amartey, Member of Parliament for Ngleshie-Amanfrom, commended the church's leadership for their vision and perseverance. He described the inauguration as a symbol of faith and community progress, encouraging the church to continue serving as a moral beacon for both the congregation and the entire constituency.
Amartey also expressed gratitude for the church's spiritual support, which he credited as instrumental to his success in the 2024 general elections. Rev. Isaac Ayisi-Kumi, a former Resident Pastor of the centre, reflected on the journey with gratitude and faith. He noted, "We were like a Macedonian church-we didn't have any wealthy members-but people gave sacrificially. Today is the fulfillment of a vision and a dream we held on to. We give all glory to God."
