NCCE Stresses Peace as Vital for Ghana’s Stability at Adaklu Dialogue.

Adaklu Waya: Mr. Kenneth Kponor, Volta Regional Director of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), has emphasized the importance of peace for Ghana's stability. During the Adaklu Constituency Parliamentary Candidates Dialogue held at Adaklu Waya, he urged Ghanaians to commit to peace as a means to solidify the nation's stability, unity, and democracy. The event was attended by candidates from the New Patriotic Party and the National Democratic Party and was organized by the Adaklu District Inter Party Dialogue Committee in cooperation with the district's NCCE.According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Kponor encouraged citizens to embrace harmony irrespective of ethnic, religious, gender, or political differences. He particularly advised the youth against being manipulated by political figures for selfish purposes, warning that such actions could jeopardize their future. Mr. Francis Asamani, Adaklu District Director of NCCE, highlighted the significance of the Dialogue, noting it provided a platform f or the electorate to engage with parliamentary candidates and for candidates to present their visions and policy solutions.In line with a survey by the NCCE titled 'matters of concern by the Ghanaian voter,' Mr. Asamani identified key priorities for the electorate in the district, including the economy, agriculture, education, health, and unemployment. Both Mr. Bright Nyatsikor of the NPP and Mr. John Motti of the NDP committed to addressing these challenges and maintaining peace in the constituency. Although Mr. Kwame Agbodza, the National Democratic Congress candidate and current Member of Parliament, was unable to attend due to prior commitments, the event proceeded with a focus on unity and dialogue.In conjunction with the Dialogue, the district's IPDC and NCCE organized peace walks in Adaklu Waya, involving diverse participants such as youth groups, security services, students, Okada riders, and representatives from religious bodies, political parties, and Civil Society Organizations. Addressing part icipants post-walk, Mr. Mac-Peter Dumatonu, Adaklu District Director of Education, underscored the importance of prioritizing peace during and after elections to bolster democracy, national unity, stability, development, and growth.
