Winneba: The National Sports College, Winneba, has successfully trained 85 individuals in Sports Management and Administration to enhance the country's sports human resources. The training was conducted at the college's Winneba campus, attracting participants from various professional backgrounds, such as coaches, administrators, lawyers, doctors, referees, and retired referees.According to Ghana News Agency, Dr. Austin Luguterah, Director of Sports at the University of Ghana and facilitator of the course, highlighted the significance of the program. He described it as a professional course tailored for sports practitioners, combining theoretical and practical knowledge. He emphasized the transition from outdated methods to globally recognized practices supported by research.Prof. Daniel Apaak, Associate Professor at the University of Cape Coast and another course facilitator, noted the insightful and educational nature of the training. He expressed optimism that participants would adopt new approaches to improve sports management and administration in the country.Mr. Bawah Fuseini, Director of the college, expressed gratitude towards the participants and praised the facilitators for their commitment to strengthening the sports ecosystem. He shared his contentment with the program's success and announced plans to introduce an intermediate course soon.Participants who engaged with GNA Sports voiced their enthusiasm about the program and urged the government to support the college in fulfilling its mission.
