Mayfair Estates complete 17 projects for Ghana Armed Forces

The Mayfair Estates Limited has completed 17 projects for the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) to support it to fulfil its mandate of protecting its territorial integrity of Ghana and helping in maintaining internal security. Currently, the Ghanaian-owned Estates developer is constructing an 80-bed military hospital at Duala Barracks and the stamping of pavement around the Nicholson Stadium at Burma Camp to give the road a face-lift.Dr John Watson Otumfuo, Chief Executive officer of the company, disclosed this to the Ghana News Agency in Accra.He named the projects as the construction of Bui Forward Operating Base (FOB), donation of materials, cash and regularly- made monthly allowances for Ghana Army (GA)Southern Command Rapid Deployment Force, and the provision of sponsorship for various units of the Ghana Army.Others are the provision of financial assistance to the construction of GA Donkokyina FOB, financed 80 per cent of the reconstruction of Ghana Airforce Base, officers four- apartment block, the reconst ruction of a facility for Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Corp, the building of the Ahuma Otumfuo Junior Rank Mess, and the construction of Ghana Military Police's National Dogs Academy four blocks accommodation complex.The construction also include accommodation for 153 Soldiers and Sports complex, 15 -units accommodation for Ghana Military Police Soldiers and a five four-storey 20 flats two-bedroom blocks at Duala, Burma Camp.The rest are the construction of a four executive and 16 standard suites and ancillary facilities at Accra Army Lodge Hotel at Burma Camp.Dr Otumfuo said Mayfair Estates Limited has entered into a strategic partnership with Fidelity Bank to make home ownership more accessible.He said the collaboration aims to address the critical challenges of affordability and the housing shortage in Ghana.'It marks a significant step forward in expanding mortgage financing option for many home buyers,' Dr Otumfuo said.The Chef Executive expressed the hope that the partnership would de liver a competitive solution and streamline the home buying process.The Mayfair Estates has won many awards, the latest being the Order of Star of Ghana from the GAF.Source: Ghana News Agency
