Man Charged with Triple Murder After Gruesome Incident at Tuba

Adabraka: The Adabraka District Court has remanded Samuel Amoah, also known as Biggie, who is accused of killing a woman and her two children in Tuba, near Kasoa, a year ago. Amoah faces three counts of murder and attempted murder. The court did not take his plea but remanded him into lawful custody, with a reappearance slated for October 13, 2025.

According to Ghana News Agency, the Ghana Police Service arrested Amoah, also referred to as Samuel Baah, on September 17, 2025, at Suhum in the Eastern Region. He allegedly committed the crime on May 19, 2025, when Alberta Hagan and her three children were found dead in their room at Tuba Net-Link Estates. The police, upon receiving information about the incident, discovered Hagan, aged 39, and her children aged 18, 10, and eight years, lying in a pool of blood.

The police inspection revealed that the eight-year-old child was still alive despite suffering multiple deep cuts on his head. The child was rushed to the hospital, while the deceased bodies were transported to the Police Hospital morgue.

The incident reportedly occurred after Amoah moved in with Alberta Hagan's family. Suspicious withdrawals from Hagan's mobile money account led her to confront Amoah, who denied involvement. Her insistence and threat to report him to the police allegedly provoked Amoah to attack, resulting in the death of Hagan and her two children, using a knife in the presence of the witnesses.

Following police intelligence, Amoah was apprehended in Suhum on September 17, 2025. During interrogation, he admitted to the crime but expressed uncertainty about his actions. Investigations into the case are ongoing.
