Maintaining Peace in Ghana Is Responsibility of All, Says DCOP Boadu-Ekumah.

According to Ghana News Agency:kumah made these remarks during a visit by the Task Force to the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Ghana, Kekeli Congregation at the SSNIT Flats in Ho. The visit coincided with the celebration of the district anniversary by the SSNIT Flats Pastoral District of the Church. This visit was part of the Taskforce's broader tour of churches in the Ho Municipality, aimed at sensitizing citizens about their roles and responsibilities in maintaining peace in the country.DCOP Boadu-Ekumah, who also holds the position of Volta Regional Police Commander, stressed that the Ghanaian people are the only ones who can ensure peace for themselves. He urged Christians to continuously preach and embody the importance of peace as a Christlike value. Additionally, he called on security officials assigned to election centers to conduct themselves professionally and on Electoral Commission officials to remain non-partisan, ensuring a fair and transparent election process.The Chairman appealed to the youth, cautioning them against being manipulated by politicians for selfish interests and warning that law enforcement would not tolerate any attempts to disrupt the electoral process on election day. He encouraged Ghanaians to demonstrate to the world their ability to protect their cherished peace and to emerge stronger as a unified nation.Expressing optimism, DCOP Boadu-Ekumah predicted that the country would emerge more united post-elections, asserting that "Ghana will be the winner at the end of it all." He also urged that on election day, priority should be given to the sick and people with disabilities at polling stations, calling on the electorate, party agents, EC officials, and security personnel to ensure this.
