Mr Samuel Aboagye, NDC Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for Obuasi East has called on party members to intensify grass-root campaigns to help mobilize support for the party in the December elections. He said though the NDC was on the verge of winning political power, it was important for party supporters to work together and strengthen their campaign for it to happen.Addressing hundreds of party supporters after a healthy walk through some principal streets of Obuasi, Mr Aboagye called for unity and hard work to enable the party to win the December elections. He accused the NPP government of mismanaging the Ghanaian economy and said the next NDC government would implement various initiatives that would help improve the living standards of the people.Mr Aboagye thanked the supporters for the massive turn-out in the health walk and charged them to go out and tell the people about the track record of the NDC, during its term of office.'I want you all to know that the NDC is winning this election, but we can not do so when you sit at home during the election day.Go out and campaign by selling the good works of the NDC and come out on the election's day and vote massively for the party', he told the supporters.Mr Aboagye accused the Member of Parliament for the area, Dr. Patrick Boakye Yiadom, of doing nothing to help improve the living conditions of the people in the area and said the MP was bereft of ideas hence his abysmal performance. He pointed out that the MP had not shown leadership and thereby, leaving the constituents impoverished with no improvements in their lives.Mr Aboagye said he was the right person to lead the constituency as their Member of Parliament to bring about the needed development the people had been yearning for and which they had been deprived of in the last eight years.Source: Ghana News Agency
