Lambussie District Assembly Completes Over 80 Percent of Projects – DCE

Lambussie: Mr. Ireneous Basingbie Naawulle, Lambussie District Chief Executive (DCE), has announced that the Assembly has completed more than 80 percent of its building projects, which are awaiting handing over to beneficiary communities and institutions. He reaffirmed the mandate of the District Assembly to spearhead grassroots development and pledged commitment to intensifying efforts to boost the local economy through infrastructure expansion.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Naawulle made this known at Lambussie during the first-quarter General Assembly meeting of the Assembly, which updated stakeholders on the status of ongoing projects and overall performance. The meeting was attended by Assembly Members, traditional leaders, Civil Society Organisations, and Heads of Departments and Agencies. It also provided a platform for the Assembly to brief residents on development progress and plans.

The DCE noted that the district was rapidly expanding and called on residents to support the Assembly and other stakeholders in driving its growth. Professor Titus Kofi Beyuo, Member of Parliament (MP) for Lambussie, urged Assembly Members to serve as ambassadors of peace in their communities. He stressed that peace and unity were essential for sustained development, urging residents to work together to overcome challenges.

'Let us preach peace, build peace, and work together in unity towards the development of our district,' he said. The MP expressed gratitude to traditional authorities, Assembly Members, CSOs, and Heads of Departments for their continuous support towards the district's growth.
