Krachi East MCE Nominee Safo Nketia Confirmed with Unanimous Endorsement

Krachi East: Members of the Krachi East Municipal Assembly in the Oti Region have overwhelmingly endorsed Mr. Safo Nketia as the new Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the municipality. All 30 assembly members unanimously approved Mr. Nketia's appointment, granting him a 100 percent endorsement.

According to Ghana News Agency, Mr. Nketia was sworn into office by Mr. Dramani Al-hassan, a judge at the Dambai District Magistrate Court. The election process was supervised by Mr. Kafui Klutse, the Krachi East Municipality Electoral Officer. The Oti Regional Minister, Mr. John Kwadwo Gyapong, administered the oath of office and expressed gratitude to the assembly members for approving the President's nominee. He emphasized that this endorsement would pave the way for the assembly's activities, contributing to rapid development.

Mr. Gyapong highlighted that the confirmation of Mr. Nketia would accelerate the developmental agenda of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government led by Mr. Dramani Mahama. As the new MCE, Mr. Nketia would assume full responsibility for the assembly's activities as outlined in the Constitution.

The NDC Member of Parliament for Krachi East, Mr. Nelson Kofi Djabab, also expressed his gratitude to the assembly members for their trust and confidence in Mr. Nketia. In his acceptance speech, Mr. Nketia extended his thanks to President Mahama for the nomination and to the assembly members for their overwhelming support. He pledged to meet the expectations of his role and appealed for maximum support and cooperation from the assembly members and core staff to ensure a successful tenure.
