Residents of Central Tongu Applaud President Mahama’s Appointment of New Chief Executive

Accra: Residents of the central tongu district have expressed their approval of President John Dramani Mahama's decision to appoint Mr. Addison Dodzi Mornyuie as the new District Chief Executive (DCE).

According to Ghana News Agency, the appointment of Mr. Mornyuie, who also serves as the Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, is viewed as a strategic initiative aimed at enhancing development and promoting socioeconomic growth in the region. Residents are optimistic that Mr. Mornyuie will act in their best interests and continue to deliver commendable performance.

The community members have urged the Assembly Members in the district to approve Mr. Mornyuie's appointment unanimously, which would set in motion the commencement of various developmental projects. Mr. Emmanuel Kpornyo, a local resident, highlighted the importance of Mr. Mornyuie bringing about change by stating, "We expect more from him. He should not fall in line with his predecessors. Central Tongu must rise again."

In addition, some residents have called on Mr. Mornyuie to focus on vital sectors such as agriculture, education, health, and the private sector, which are essential for the district's development and growth.
